3.8　The Accessing Ways of Various Cables

3.8.1　Various cables should be led in via underground.

3.8.2　Cables without metal protective coverings should be led in by passing through steel tubes，and two ends of steel tube shall be earthed.

3.8.3　Optical transmission（and electric）cables getting in or out of telecommunication bureaus（stations）and various cables should be gathered at cable vaults from which cables are led to the bureaus，and at the cable vaults metal armoured protective coverings are earthed directly by special earth clamps；the optical cable shall have its metal parts being earthed at the terminal；metal sheath and metal parts of various cables shall be earthed at two end，and metal protective coverings of various signal cables shall be earthed in the cable vaults or connected with the nearby earth grid.

3.8.4　Earth points for metal sheaths and metal parts of various cables shall not be installed or led in near to the pillar that is taken as the lightning down-conductor system.
